Method of Participation and Request for Credit

To obtain your CE certificate:

  1. Go to www.cmeuniversity.com
  2. Log in or create a new account (will take less than 1 minute)
      1. If you receive a message when creating a new account that “the email you entered is already in use”, please click the forgot my username or password link to have your Username and Password sent to you via email
      2. After logging in, you may be asked to verify/update your information; after doing so, click Save at the bottom of the page
  3. Enter Course Code (provided by email when you completed the course) under “Find Post-Test/Evaluation by Course”
  4. Select the activity title
  5. Choose your desired credit type
  6. (If applicable) Complete the post-test (passing score: 75% or better)
  7. Complete the online evaluation
  8. Download or print your CE certificate

For Pharmacists: Upon successfully completing the post-test with a score of 75% or better (if applicable) and the activity evaluation form, transcript information will be sent to the NABP CPE Monitor Service.

What are CME credits?

Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits are required by many licensing boards to maintain professional credentials. Depending on your role, you may earn:

  • Physicians: AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ (ACCME)
  • Nurses: ANCC contact hours
  • Pharmacists: ACPE contact hours (reported to NABP CPE Monitor)
  • Dentists: ADA CERP credits

How many credits do I earn for ACLS Medical Training?

Initial certification = 8.0 credits. Renewal = 4.0 credits.

Is there a minimum passing score?

Yes. You must score 80% or higher on the post-test.

Where exactly do I claim credit?

At CMEUniversity.com → “Find Post-test/Evaluation by Course” → enter the Course ID shown at the end of your ACLS course.

Do these credits meet my state or board requirements?

Is this the same as American Heart Association (AHA) courses?
